Our companionship services include non-medical basic supervision to ensure a client’s safety and well-being. Personal or hands-on care is not provided in this category. Some of the companionship services that we offer include: 

• friendship and emotional support

• playing games/cards, reading to clients

• keeping clients in contact with family, friends, and the outside world

• transportation and escort assistance for medical appointments and errands

• accompany clients at recreational and/or social events

• teaching/performing meal planning, preparation, and serving

• medication reminders

Our chore service provides clients support with key life tasks that must be managed in order to live independently at home. Some of the chore services that we offer include: 

• light housekeeping

• laundry

• linen changes 

• meal preparation 

• medication reminders

• pick-up and delivery of groceries, medication, personal items, etc.

• recreational activities and outings

Our respite services give a break to primary caregivers (spouse, son, daughter, friend, relative, etc.) who provide supportive and supervisory care to a loved one on a regular basis. Families can request respite care for a few hours, a few days, occasionally, or periodically. 

Respite Care will enable caregivers to:

• take a vacation

• deal with their own medical issues (appointments, procedures, etc.)

• have an opportunity to rest, relax, and catch up on sleep  

• spend quality time with friends and family

• take time for themselves to exercise, shop, do personal care, and run errands

Respite  Care may include the following services:

• light housekeeping and laundry

• meal preparation and clean-up

• help with exercises (range-of-motions exercises)

• support with well-being (take out for walks, conversation, etc.)

• medication assistance (e.g., reminders, removing medications from Blistopax)

At Just Like Family In Home Care, we will support our clients with their activities of daily living. Certified personal care aides will work under the supervision of our registered nurse to ensure that our clients receive quality care that gives them and their families peace of mind.
